Back at it! 🌊 Back to the Beach, Back to My Kitchen

There’s something sacred about returning to the place where your hands first remembered how to heal through food. This week, I’m back in the food truck—parked just steps from the ocean, where the salt air dances with the scent of sofrito and the laughter of neighbors. After years of cooking from Bistro del Mar in Las Croabas, I’ve come full circle. Now, I’m here in Luquillo, in front of the waves, with my heart wide open.
To be back in my kitchen—my real kitchen—is to feel the pulse of the island again. The food truck isn’t just a workspace. It’s a living altar to Puerto Rican agriculture, to the women who harvest with dignity, to the stories simmering in every pot. It’s where I get to cook with the sea as my witness and the people of La Pared as my inspiration.
I love this beach. I love its rhythm, its resilience, its people. La Pared is more than a surf spot—it’s a community that knows how to rise, how to celebrate, how to protect what matters. Every plate I serve here is a thank you. A thank you for letting me return. A thank you for holding space. A thank you for reminding me that food is resistance, and joy is a recipe worth repeating.

So if you’re nearby, come find me. The truck is open, the ocean is singing, and the stove is lit with love.
